International Medical Link is a private organization incorporated in Uganda and operated by a team of high caliber professionals. It’s fully licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda to transact business as a Health Membership Organization. The company complies with the Insurance Statute and Insurance Regulations 2002 and hence has the capacity to provide Medical Insurance to its customers.

Dr. Possy Mugyenyi is the executive director at IML. He is the inspiration to all as he spearheads IML; strategizing and directing it through each phase of its growth. Dr. Mugyenyi brings with him strong leadership skills, vigor and a passion for excellence. He believes in nurturing a culture that is result oriented, customer focused and based on team work. He has held various key positions such as Project Manager for MCH/FP Project at Ministry of Health, Deputy Registrar Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners’ Council, Deputy and then National Program Manager Uganda National Expanded Program for Immunization (UNEPI) and also currently works as the Manager, Centre for Tobacco control in Africa. He attained an International Masters in Health Leadership and Management (IMHL), a management course at McGill University, Montreal Canada, Masters in Public Health (Epidemiology), Institute of Public Health, Makerere University, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBCHB), Makerere University.
Mrs. Plan Virginia M, a director and also the Human Resource manager at IML is the link between management and employees. Sharing professional knowledge and skills aimed at improving quality of life and development of people is her greatest objective. Virginia possesses excellent interpersonal skills, is a creative thinker and never runs out of innovations. She has a diverse and wide-ranging experience in people management as she has worked as a director of Triple P since 1998, a leader of Tripple P community health initiative as well as an advisor to the Mother Friendly Hospital Initiative. In partnership with WHO, she managed to design and implement a pilot project on immunization which was focusing on Child Health Cards retention through schools. Virginia received a Master of Public Health Leadership from UCU Mukono, a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Makerere University and a Bachelor of Arts in Education also from Makerere University. She is also a member of the East African Public Health Association, Rotary club and Holy Family association
Joseph Israel Mwebesa, moved from Mountains of the moon University in Fort portal Uganda to head the marketing department of International Medical Link (IML). He would then be appointed General Manager. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Management. Passionate about managing people, individual talents and productivity, Israel applies great problem solving skills and emotional intelligence in his work. He has been resourceful in strategic planning, creating efficiency and cost-cutting and leading a high performing IML team.
IML has carefully selected and signed up partner hospitals and clinics spread across the country to ensure our clients access the best service possible wherever they are. IML is in partnership with over 300 health facilities across the country and within the East African Region. IML does not limit clients to specific clinics.
We also have some of the best hospitals in Kenya (Karen Hospital), South Sudan (Victorious Medical Centre), Tanzania(Agha Khan Hospital and Rwanda(King-Faisal Hospital) to cater for our clients when in the respective countries. Besides East Africa, we have partnership with Hospitals in India, South Africa where we connect our clients who need super specialized procedures.
IML offers a comprehensive Medical Insurance package which factors in wellness clinics, home visits and other services like home spraying. Our packages are divided into Classic, Executive, Premier and Pinnacle. Our premiums are friendly and are customized to meet our clients’ needs. IML partners with a number of hospitals in Kampala, up country and with all the referral hospitals in the different regions in the country. IML also partners with some hospitals abroad for our clients that may need coverage while on duty in the east African region.

IML offers custom Home and Institutional pest control plans though indoor and outdoor spraying. We specialize in removal and prevention of infestations by insects and rodents, including cockroaches, fleas, ticks, ants, bees, mice, and a host of other irritating invasive species. We offer monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly service intervals, with no long-term contracts.
We begin our relationship with each customer with a thorough inspection of your institution/home because we believe every institution/home and is different, and this inspection helps us develop a pest control plan to meet your specific needs.
Our technicians rely on the safest available pest control methods. We use natural and organic treatments, which are harmless to children and pets. As a last resort, we use pesticides in accordance with local and national regulations and standards.
IML has partnered with Centenary and Finance Trust Banks to provide affordable health insurance with a cover of up to 8 million shillings to Supa woman and mama safe account holders. This cover includes outpatient, inpatient, maternity, dental, optical, services among others.
As a preventive approach to ensure our clients remain healthy, IML is partnering with Silver Springs Hotel and Platinum Fitness Health Club (Quality Shopping Mall-Naalya) in order to promote positive and responsible lifestyles while also creating effective weight –management programs for them. All our clients therefore shall have a 30% and 15% discount on all services provided by Platinum Fitness and Silver Springs Hotel respectively. Originally founded in the 1950s to accommodate confiscated, orphaned and injured wildlife, UWEC is now a Centre for wildlife education and traditional medicinal plants.
As a friend of wildlife, IML partnered with UWEC not only to promote tourism, wildlife education and research, but also to add value to its clients by enabling the access/use zoo services at a 30% discount (adults 7000 and children shs 3500 instead of 10,000 and 5000 shs respectively)
