Job description for Medical Officers to work in IML Clinics.
The interested candidate should be ready to work both in a fast growing Health Insurance Firm.
Background
The Medical Officers to work at IML Clinics will report to the General Manager in Charge of
IML Clinics and ensure efficient in operation of the assigned Clinic.
Roles
- Ensure prompt and professional patient care i.e. examination/diagnosis, prescription, etc.
- Cover all of the required opening hours in a week at IML Clinic for your duty (48 hours)
- Manage referral of all patients who need medical care beyond the level offered at the clinic.
- Organize/participate in internal and external Continuous Medical Education (CME)
Providers/Hospitals within the network to ensure low claim rates. - Organize/participate in clinic meetings and other required management meetings for the clinic.
- Work with Clinics Operations Supervisor and or Head Doctor to processing accurate weekly,
monthly and any other intermittent reports concerning the running of the Clinic. - Ensure effective day today administrative activities of the clinic such as hygiene, stock levels for
drugs and related supplies among others. - Participate in Wellness Clinics and ensure that IML clinic staff do the same to support medical
insurance marketing team - Participate in health talks and home visits for clients
Requirements
- Proven work experience in a clinic with recent knowledge of treatment and drug
administration and procedures. - Solid understanding of healthcare procedures, ethics and regulations
- Customer care skills and practices
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to supervise and train team members
- Problem-solving skills and attitude
- BS degree in Medicine
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Integrity, with an ability to handle staff and stakeholders professionally.
- Ability to commit to a full time job
